BBM 5.0 for ALL current OS

I’ve had a lot of people asking and I thought I’d clarify for all. BBM5 WILL NOT run on any OS under 4.5.0.77 or ANY OS above 5.0.0.140, that’s just how it goes. Until a newer version is leaked for all, you will either have to run regular BBM or no BBM at all, that is entirely up to you.

Well well, what do we have here? You got it, OTA dl links for BBM 5.0 for OS 4.5, 4.6, 4.6.1, 4.7, and 4.7.1

Yours truly converted them all and my friend was kind enough to host the OTA’s for it.

UPDATE 07/18/2009 1:45PM EST : I will be posting mirrors here soon, I have a few more people kind enough to provide other hosts to better server you guys. If a link doesn’t work it’s because there is too many connections to each said OTA. But they will work if you keep trying.

UPDATE 2 07/18/2009  1:55PM EST: My friend John (@jbyrbman) from www.johnbergoon.com was kind enough to also offer OTA links for all to enjoy BBM5. He will also be hosting the foles if you prefer to load via DM. Visit his site so download them =)

UPDATE 3 07/18/2009 7:50pm EST: Our host took files down AGAIN, because of too much bandwidth usage. I will be uploading more mirrors here in the next 15-30 minutes. Sorry for any delays, but we can control how much you guys want these files.

UPDATE 4 07/18/2009 8:30PM EST: I have uploaded a bunch of new mirrors, if they go down again. I’m sorry, I can’t control it. Just keep trying, we have used a couple 100GB of bandwidth in under 24hrs. So it’s taking a toll and hosting costs and coming out of pockets of people who decided to help. UPDATE 6 08/10/2009 4:15PM EST: I have removed all OTA links, I think everyone should have it by now and if you don’t I’m sure you can get them from other sites that stole my jad files and used them as their own. Thanks for the links, and we should all be backing up our info, I’ll be doing it more often than monthly for sure. I wish there were a way to back up your bbm ota and also to change pins ota to move your contacts. Maybe a future app for that would be great.

      You’re going to have to use DM and install the old version again. I will look into it some more, not sure why it’s not working. When I know for a fact it worked, because I tested on all devices before I posted the OTA links for all.

        I can get the file, restart the device, but nothing appears to me. I’ll try all other and if I got something different I came back here to tell you, but, it’s weird be in application list but not on screen, as an icon.

    Any ideas? DM install is not an option for me as I run linux at home and my work PC is locked down.

    If you carrier don’t have an useful upgrade search google BBOS.PHP(besadmin page), usually is first link, there find latest os for your phone from others carriers in the world, download the file, install, go to program files/common folders/research in motion/loader/ and delete vendor.xml, DISCONNECT internet( IS A NESSESARY STEP) and open desktop manager and upgrade your phone…. Is really simple.

    JUST FOLLOW THE STEPS, one by one and you get a phone with latest OS and cuasi perfect BBMESSENGER 5.0

    Again, please, follow all the steps one by one and prevent headaches.
